This is a unique chance to get close to Orkney’s wild side and be introduced to our natural surroundings. Our diverse range of habitats from towering sea cliffs and wetlands to wide open beaches and moorland is what gives us such an abundance of wildlife. Orca patrol the waters of Scapa Flow, the endemic Orkney vole thrives in the heather whilst Hen Harriers tumble through the sky performing their 'skydance' display in what is their UK stronghold.

Wildlife tours are led across the Orkney Mainland and connected South Isles, to see Orkney’s seasonal wildlife, that can include rare Hen Harriers, Short Eared Owls, Curlews, Seals and of course Puffins. Island hopping is a great way to see Orkney and we are happy to organise trips to our other islands including Hoy where it's possible to see White tailed and Golden Eagles as well as the towering Old Man of Hoy seastack. A noisy Gannet colony awaits on Westray, the diminutive Scottish Primrose can be found on Papay whilst the white beaches and dunes of Sanday have plenty of secrets!

I often get requests for wildlife guiding and bespoke workshops including multiple days that aren't on my website. Please feel free to get in touch if you have something specific in mind and we can discuss it to make it happen!
